Telkom strengthen it’s position as infrastructure telco company

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) is going to acquire up to 80 percent of Indonesian Tower shares. It’s subsidiary company, PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel) has dealed with the share holder of PT Solusindo Kreasi Pratama and Indonesian Tower to complete condition agreement immidiately.

Indonesian Tower is the country’s primary tower rental company, renting towers and indoor repeater stations to telecommunication operators and wireless data providers. It’s clients are ranging from the biggest cellular operator to the smallest fixed wireless access operator in Indonesia such as Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, Flexi, 3, Axis, Mobile8, Smart and Ceria.

By this acquisition will sthrengthen Telkom Group position in telco industri. In Indonesia all wireless operator requires tower in huge number to support their base station, repeater or microwave when they want to expand their network.
